The Apple iPad is a new, multi-touch device marketed as “an extraordinary way to enjoy and share your photos”. Featuring a 9.7-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen Multi-Touch display with fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating, the Apple iPad boasts 1024-by-768-pixel resolution at 132ppi, and comes with 16, 32 or 64GB of built-in storage capacity. The Photos app displays the photos in an album as though they were in a stack. Just tap the stack, and the whole album opens up.
From there, you can flip through your pictures, zoom in or out, or watch a slideshow. You can even import photographs directly from your camera using the optional Apple Camera Connection Kit. Apart from displaying your photos, the Apple iPad can also be used to surf the Web, read and write e-mails, watch videos, access the AppStore, download and listen to music, buy and read books, and more. Measuring 9.56×7.47×0.50 inches, the Apple iPad is available from $499.
